Almost Back To Normal...

Thanks for all your comments. We are settling in well, but still only have a dial up connection...and it's super slow...pah! We should have broadband by next weekend if things go to plan (which they haven’t so far…). Due to lack of kitchen equipment and general laziness I haven’t been cooking anything exciting so I don’t have that much to tell you all. Our belongings should arrive in about two weeks which means that I can get busy in the kitchen again!

I’m looking forward to getting back to reading all your blogs regularly and I have lots of thing in Edinburgh that I want to explore and blog about…

Have a great weekend!!

Good luck with your new life in Edinburgh. Until recently, I used to live there, so I'd definitely recommend the tomato man at the farmers' market (can't remember his actual name) - tomatoes that taste like tomatoes should! And Real Foods is good for bits and bobs. Enjoy.

Had a great day in Edinburgh on Tuesday! I was shoe shopping with my friends, for my wedding!

There are way too many sales on in Edinburgh just now, everything is piled up in a heap! Thank goodnes for John Lewis!

Had a great lunch in an Italian in Hanover Street. The first one on the left, as you go down! The lunch menu was very cheap! Unfortunately I burnt my finger on a hot plate! I was warned!

Hope you are settling in well!

kati, it’s pronounced a bit more like ed-in-burra!

It is then heated until red hot and held in tongs and using the hammer and anvil, beaten into shape. The tip of the bar is pointed to form the tip of the bowl, then hammered to form the bowl. If a heel is to be added, a section down the centre is left thicker. The edges of the bowl and the tip of the spoon are left thicker as this is where most of the thickness is needed. The handle is then started and hammered out to length going from thick at the neck and gradually tapering down in thickness giving a balanced feel. Cooking Equipment
